IANS has obtained a permanent observer status in Coordination Council Eurasia The 36th joint meeting of Coordination Council (CC) and Coordination Group of Experts (CGE) Eurasia took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 23 to 26 April 2019.  More than 50 representatives attended the meeting.

From May 24 to May 26, 2018, the XI International helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia 2018 was held at Crocus Expo, Moscow, where BANS exhibited its prototype of the helicopter onboard situational awareness system for helicopter crews (BSSO-B) for the first time.

XII Session of UAI Committee on Air Navigation Hosted by IANS

On June 29, 2016 XII Session of the Committee on Air Navigation with the NPP Union of Aviation Industrialists was held at IANS head office. The agenda was built around new technologies for ensuring traffic safety in the aerodrome area.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the ATM State Corporation, IAC, UAC, the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Vnuovo Airport, FSUE GosNIIAS; Air Navigation Research Institute branch within State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation; Gromov Flight Research Institute, TsAGI, as well as Tupolev, Helicopters of Russia, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, IL, Tekhnomash.

Among the cpecial participants of the session were UAI General Manager Evgeniy Gorbunov, General Director of Micran, JSC Vladimir Dotsenko, Director-Chief Designer of Kontur-NIIRS, LLC Stanislav Zelensky.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Air Navigation Committee and IANS Director General Mikhail Kizilov. In his general introduction he underlined that the problem of security is a complex task solved by optimizing air traffic control system and depends on the development of a multi-faceted modernization process of the national air navigation sector. At the heart of this project is the concept of creation and development of the Russian Air Navigation System, federal target programs "Modernization of the Unified Air Traffic Management System", "Improvement of the federal intelligence and control system for the airspace of the Russian Federation", "Global Navigation System".

During the final part of the meeting, real-time on-line flight control from a remote control tower was demonstrated at Orlovka experimental aerodrome. Flight control was carried out by all the rules, from meteorological situation assessment to landing, with a distance between the aerodrome and the remote tower of about 200 km. The demonstration also included management using new equipment for CAT 3 aerodromes with potential conflict situations.
