IANS has obtained a permanent observer status in Coordination Council Eurasia The 36th joint meeting of Coordination Council (CC) and Coordination Group of Experts (CGE) Eurasia took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from 23 to 26 April 2019.  More than 50 representatives attended the meeting.

From May 24 to May 26, 2018, the XI International helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia 2018 was held at Crocus Expo, Moscow, where BANS exhibited its prototype of the helicopter onboard situational awareness system for helicopter crews (BSSO-B) for the first time.

IANS Hosted IX session of UAI Committee on Air Navigation

On June 30, 2015 IX Session of the Committee on Air Navigation with the NPP Union of Aviation Industrialists was held at IANS office. The agenda was built around prospects for the development of automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) system for the aviation of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the FSUE GosNIIAS; Air Navigation Research Institute branch within FSUE "State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation; IANS Concern; the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation; Federal Security Service; federal executive authorities; economic and industry entities; State ATM Corporation; Interstate Aviation Committee; scientific research institutes.

Among the topics covered during the session was the integrated communication, data exchange, navigation and identification system (OSNOD) adopted by the Russian Defense Ministry. This interference-free system is aimed for distribution and exchange of tactical information in various branches of the Armed Forces and supports special ADS-B modes.

The participants agreed that for flight operations of the state and civil aviation in the common airspace and effective ATC, it is necessary to use an integrated global ADS-B technology, recognized by the international community. Presently only ADS-B 1090 ES meets the requirements and supports all kinds of modern on-board functions, being easily adaptable to the needs of state aviation. Implementation of a single ADS-B technology (1090 ES) will provide cost saving while maintaining the required surveillance functions in the interest of air traffic control. Shared use of modern communication, navigation and ADS-B technologies will significantly improve the efficiency of air navigation operational control of state aircraft.

Mikhail Kanevsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee and the CEO of International Air Navigation Systems Concern, made a report on main directions in the development of standards for efficient aeronautical products based on new technologies.

Yuri Kapoyko, Chief Designer of Digital Radio Systems, gave a presentation on 1090 MHz communication channels and the use of ADS-B technology for the tasks of mainline, light and state aviation.

Vladimir Tislenko, Senior Researcher of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, gave an overview of the University’s research in the sphere of passive and active radar and navigation systems.
